Next Level alliance
SG1 Soccer Club (SG1) and Fútbol Club Juárez (FC Juárez) are proud to announce a new strategic partnership that will enhance both clubs focus on player development and opportunity. This agreement offers a broad range of programs aimed toward youth soccer players as well as professional academy participants. The creation of this international pact brings together two entities with similar philosophies and pathways.
There are many elements of cooperation within the agreement including the following:
· Coaching education events led by FC Juarez professional staff.
· Mutual participation in each other's tournaments throughout the year.
· Player ID events for boys and girls hosted by SG1 in the Houston area.
· Focus on identifying players, boys and girls, to participate in the FC Juarez Academy system.
· Opportunity for high level players to directly join the professional player path at FC Juárez.
· Opportunity for SG1 players, boys and girls, at the Academy and competitive levels to participate in FC Juarez training and camps.
“We have the common goal to provide genuine and honest opportunities to as many players as possible who have the dream to compete at the highest professional academy and professional levels” said SG1 Director, Alex Parra. “This is a unique and groundbreaking partnership that we believe will serve as a future model of cooperation between like-minded clubs.” Parra added “We are excited about this new partnership, and I am very grateful to the efforts of our Director of Coaching, Eugenio de Obeso for helping us shape this vision. I would also like to thank everyone at FC Juarez and in particular to FC Juarez’s Academy Director, Profesor Eugenio de Obeso Sr. and Sporting Director Mr. Fran Sanchez for their guidance and leadership.
International Fútbol Coordinator at FC Juarez, Mr. Juan Manuel Chazarra Ángel, said that “Reaching the agreement between our clubs helps us to open the path toward professional soccer opportunities for players in the Houston area. Culturally there are many players who are familiar with Liga MX and the level of competitiveness that exists for both the men's and women's game but have never been presented with the possibility of joining it’s ranks”.
